Join Our Caring CommunityThe Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. You will perform computations, and other tasks, and report to the Center Administrator.The Medical Assistant performs clinical tasks such as:Document patient symptoms in EMRTake and record vital signsAdminister injectionsPerform diagnostic testsCollect specimens and draw bloodSterilize equipmentMaintain examination roomsOther tasks as assignedUse your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications:At least one year of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a customer service background in retail, hospitality, legal, insurance or call centersBilingual in English and SpanishExcellent customer service and multiphone line skillsTeam playerAbility to multitaskDetailed and organizedKnowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)Other administrative duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications:Value-based care model experienceKnowledge of Medical TerminologyExperience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00Location: Kendall, FLThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
