Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Project Accountant 1, we'll count on you to:Be responsible for creation of accurate client invoices in compliance with contract terms and accounting schedule.Take responsibility for collections management and project budgeting, as well as backup assistance on coding and processing A/P, time sheets, and expense reportsConduct accurate contract documentation, administration and maintenance including fee and budget entryWork with section and project personnel to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issuesCoordinate the project accounting system within the department and work with technical staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirementsEnter project budget and funding based on information included in the contract documents and provided by Project Managers.Ensure project accounting files have appropriate documentation and project reconciliationAssist multiple project accountants and other staff on a daily basisPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fieldsExperience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction IndustryLocal candidates preferredRequired QualificationsAssociate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experienceFamiliarity with Earned Value ManagementExcellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skillsFlexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated, well-organized and detail-orientedAbility to handle confidential informationProficiency with MS Office including Word and OutlookAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe HDR is our company.
