We offer benefits as well as 401k.Position Details:Title: CRM Data SpecialistPosition Type: 3 month contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business needJob Location: Auburn Hills, MIShift: 1st shiftBenefits: 401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance, PTOCompensation: $36.76/HRPosition Overview:We are looking for a detail-oriented CRM Data Specialist to support the development of a complete, accurate, and actionable view of customers, accounts, and contacts within the construction materials and building products industry. This short-term role focuses primarily on data enrichment, data consolidation, research, and CRM completeness. There are no outbound cold calls or inbound sales responsibilities. The ideal candidate is curious, persistent, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable researching multiple sources to piece together a complete company and account profile, including account relationships and hierarchies, that sales teams can confidently use.Key Responsibilities:Research companies, accounts, contacts, job roles, locations, and business relationships to strengthen customer records in Salesforce.Investigate missing, incomplete, duplicate, or inconsistent customer information using Salesforce, internal records, web research, and other available resources.Identify and connect related accounts and contacts to help sales teams understand the broader customer relationship and account structure.Document research findings clearly and concisely so sales representatives can quickly understand the customer and take appropriate action.Update and maintain customer, account, and contact information within Salesforce.Review account ownership, existing notes, and customer records to identify data quality issues and opportunities for improvement.Improve CRM completeness by filling gaps in company information, locations, customer types, contact roles, and account relationships.Identify and flag duplicate, outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete records, as well as unclear ownership or records requiring sales follow-up or additional validation.Research construction-related companies and key influencers, including contractors, builders, architects, developers, distributors, and other project stakeholders.Develop accurate account profiles and identify relationships between companies, contacts, and projects.Summarize research findings in a concise, practical format that enables sales and business teams to make informed decisions.Collaborate with DCX, sales, and marketing teams to improve customer visibility, CRM usability, and data quality.Qualifications:1–3+ years of experience in data entry, research, CRM administration/support, sales operations, customer operations, construction administration, or a related field.Experience researching companies, contacts, customer records, or business relationships within a CRM or structured database environment.High school diploma or GED required; additional education or experience in business, sales, construction management, or a related field is a plus.Must have Salesforce CRM experience, including the ability to navigate accounts, contacts, records, and related information.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, internet research, and the ability to work across multiple systems.Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarize research findings clearly and effectively for a sales audience.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when entering, cleaning, validating, and connecting customer data.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with construction industry terminology, customer segments, and project-based sales cycles.Understanding of relationships among contractors, builders, architects, developers, distributors, and building product companies.Ability to quickly learn building product applications, construction terminology, and customer structures.Comfortable asking questions and working with subject matter experts to validate information.Enjoys research, investigation, pattern recognition, and connecting information from multiple sources.Takes ownership of building a complete and reliable view of the customer rather than simply entering data.Dependable, organized, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in situations where information may be incomplete or unclear.Able to balance speed and productivity with accuracy and data integrity.Understands that complete, accurate, and trusted CRM data enables sales teams to make better decisions and take more effective action.
