Assistant Controller

Overview Assistant Controller Hybrid Atlanta, GA Seeking a proactive finance professional to manage general ledger accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory management, and audit compliance. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing or distribution and private equity-backed firms. Key Responsibilities Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations in line with U.S. GAAP. Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis. Ensure internal controls, compliance, and support audit readiness. Collaborate with tax and M&A consultants for acquisition integration and financial reporting. Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 7+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing/distribution. Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge. CPA certification required. Proficiency in SAP.
