Oliver Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support our manufacturing operation in Twinsburg, Ohio . This position will serve as the primary HR resource onsite , providing day-to-day HR support to approximately 60 employees across the facility.

The HR Generalist will have responsibility for a broad range of HR activities, with a strong focus on payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, employee support, and compliance, and HR administration. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who is comfortable working independently, building strong relationships with employees and managers, and knowing when to escalate issues to HR leadership the HR Manager in Cleveland.

The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, strong payroll and benefits knowledge, and experience working with an HRIS or payroll system. Manufacturing or another fast-paced, hourly workforce environment is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Timekeeping

\n
• Support the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the Twinsburg facility.
\n
• Review timekeeping, attendance, overtime, deductions, and employee changes for accuracy.
\n
• Investigate and resolve payroll and timekeeping discrepancies.
\n
• Process employee status changes, pay changes, deductions, and other payroll-related transactions.
\n
• Maintain accurate payroll and personnel records.
\n
• Prepare payroll-related reports, audits, and reconciliations as needed.
\n
• Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding timekeeping and payroll questions.
\n

Benefits Administration

\n
• Administer day-to-day employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k).
\n
• Assist employees with benefit questions and work with benefit providers and brokers to resolve issues.
\n
• Support annual open enrollment activities and employee communications.
\n
• Review benefit invoices and assist with reconciliation and reporting.
\n

HRIS & HR Technology

\n
• Maintain accurate employee information and transactions within the HRIS and related HR systems.
\n
• Process new hires, terminations, transfers, job changes, compensation changes, and other employee updates.
\n
• Run standard HR reports and assist with workforce reporting and analysis.
\n
• Serve as a knowledgeable onsite resource for HR technology and employee self-service.
\n

Employee Relations & HR Support

\n
• Serve as the primary onsite HR contact for employees and supervisors.
\n
• Respond to employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, payroll, attendance, timekeeping, and general HR matters.
\n
• Partner with the HR leadership employee relations matters, including performance concerns, attendance issues, coaching, corrective action, and investigations.
\n
• Build strong working relationships with employees, supervisors, and plant leadership.
\n
• Promote a positive, professional, and respectful workplace.
\n

Recruiting & Onboarding

\n
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and plant leadership on hourly and salaried recruiting needs.
\n
• Assist with candidate interviews, selection, pre-employment requirements, and new hire processing.
\n
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities for new employees.
\n

Leave, Compliance & Risk Management

\n
• Assist with administration of FMLA, leave of absence, disability, and other applicable leave programs.
\n
• Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements.
\n
• Assist with HR audits, reporting, and required documentation.
\n

Manufacturing & Plant HR Support

\n
• Maintain a visible HR presence within the Twinsburg facility.
\n
• Support attendance, employee communications, engagement initiatives, and workforce-related activities.
\n
• Assist with employee meetings, training, recognition programs, and other plant HR initiatives.
\n

Qualifications

Required

\n
• 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
\n
• Strong hands-on experience with payroll and timekeeping processes.
\n
• Strong experience administering employee benefits, including health and welfare plans and 401(k).
\n
• Experience working with an HRIS and/or payroll system.
\n
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
\n
• Ability to independently manage day-to-day HR responsibilities while knowing when to escalate more complex matters.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
\n
• Working knowledge of general HR practices and employment regulations.
\n

Preferred

\n
• HR experience in a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or other hourly workforce environment .
\n
• Experience supporting a smaller facility or location where HR operates with a high degree of independence.
\n
• Experience with payroll, timekeeping and attendance systems, leave administration, workers' compensation, and employee relations.
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
\n
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification.
\n

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will become a trusted onsite HR resource for the Twinsburg facility , providing responsive support to employees and managers while maintaining strong HR processes and accurate records.

This person should be able to hit the ground running , manage routine HR matters independently, and effectively partner with the HR Manager in Cleveland when additional guidance or escalation is needed.
