Human Resources Generalist

March Inc is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations at its Manchester, CT location. This onsite role combines recruiting and onboarding with employee support, training and compliance, and the administration of core people programs across the organization. What you’ll do Create, organize, plan, and present onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees. Develop and/or source training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials. Deliver training and development programs using formats such as group discussion, lecture, simulations, and video. Maintain accurate records for training and development activities, including attendance, and results of tests and assessments. Review, track, and document compliance for mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, retraining requirements, and work assessments. Assess program effectiveness using assessments, surveys, and feedback, and keep current on training and development trends. Recruit, interview, and support the hiring process for open roles, partnering with departmental managers to identify skills and competencies. Conduct or coordinate background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Support new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Administer human resources programs that can include compensation, benefits, and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, and productivity, recognition, and morale, as well as occupational health and safety and training and development. Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate. Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including recommended best practices through ongoing policy and practice review. Perform other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with supervision of Administrative Assistants. Key skills and qualifications Strong presentation skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent time management with the ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. Education and experience Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Training and Development, or a related field (preferred). At least one year of human resource management experience (preferred). First Aid/CPR trainer certification (a plus). SHRM-CP (a plus). Technology and systems Microsoft Office Suite HRIS Talent management systems Compensation and location Salary: USD 60,000 - 70,000 per year. Location: Manchester, CT (onsite).
