Construction Project Manager

Project Manager Our client is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in tenant improvements, interior build-outs, renovations, façade improvements, and commercial construction projects for a diverse portfolio of repeat clients. Operating as a construction management firm, they oversee every phase of the project while partnering with a trusted network of subcontractors to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. Their projects range from several thousand dollars to multi-million-dollar commercial developments across the greater Pittsburgh area. Responsibilities The Project Manager will oversee multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously, managing both the preconstruction and construction phases to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction. Prepare conceptual estimates by reviewing construction drawings, understanding project scope, and soliciting pricing from subcontractors. Manage commercial construction projects from award through closeout while maintaining project schedules, budgets, and profitability. Coordinate subcontractors and manage contract administration, including subcontract issuance and change orders. Develop and maintain project schedules while coordinating trade sequencing and project milestones. Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, submittal follow-up, and document recirculation. Conduct regular job site visits to monitor project progress, coordinate subcontractors, and participate in owner and construction meetings. Communicate regularly with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal team members to ensure project objectives are achieved. Prepare weekly meeting minutes and maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project costs, identify potential budget overruns, and proactively implement solutions to maintain profitability. Manage project closeout activities, including punch lists, final documentation, and client turnover. Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail. Qualifications The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial construction Project Manager who is comfortable owning projects from estimating through completion and thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment. Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor.
