Location: Grimes, IA 50111

Duration: 7 Months Assignment

Shifts: 1st/day and 3rd/night

Job Description:

Contract position – 7 months.

This assignment is not a temp-to-hire position.

Will require working on some Saturdays.

Goal is to operate the warehouse 6 days/week, but staff will get a random day off.

Over-time opportunity.

Expected to work either Day or Night shifts.

Typical day-shift hours are 7 am - 5:30 pm.

Typical night-shift hours are 8:30 pm - 7 am.

Responsibilities:

Oversee a warehouse process.

Receiving, Inventory, Packaging, Treating seed, Container sorting, Shipping.

Work safely and ensure others are following safety guidelines.

Work together with other staff to ensure the warehouse processes are running efficiently.

Understand multiple processes to ensure coverage during staff planned days off.

Learn and use internal warehouse software.

Supervise daily work of contract warehouse employees.

Troubleshooting issues.

Skillset & Education:

Education:

2-year degree or BSc preferred, though not necessarily required.

Experience:

Mid to advanced computer knowledge required. Ability to learn new warehouse software tools.

Critical skills:

Mid to advanced user of Microsoft Windows operating system.

Mid to advanced computer navigational skills.

Must be detail orientated.

Have well developed communications skills to explain/execute work orders, generate/explain reports.

Other preferred skills:

Display a competency to perform accurate work in a repetitive motion environment.
