Food Safety & Quality Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Food Safety and Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing food safety and quality assurance programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of production areas, equipment, and storage facilities to ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, SQF, FDA).
• Perform quality control tests, including microbial testing, pH checks, temperature monitoring, and sensory evaluations.
• Assist in developing and maintaining food safety programs, including HACCP plans and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing results, and corrective actions.
• Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
• Train employees on food safety procedures, hygiene practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and resolve food safety concerns and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in food safety and quality processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 1-3 years of experience in food safety, quality control, or a similar role in the food industry.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and data entry systems.

Salary:

Hourly Rate starting at $22.00

Work Environment


This job operates onsite at our manufacturing and office site in Fort Worth, TX.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position - Monday through Friday, in person.
