Salary: $168,400 - 168,400 per year Requirements:

• We need at least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We need at least 5 years of programming experience in one or more software languages.
• We need at least 5 years of experience leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We need experience serving as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
• A bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent background is preferred.
• We value 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

• We collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and launch innovative products and services.
• We design and build new technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help drive major industry advancements.
• We work with team members to evaluate design options, prototype new technologies, and assess technical feasibility.
• We translate feature specifications into maintainable, extensible working code.
• We develop distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage and use.
• We design and implement effective solutions starting from broadly defined problems.
• We work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
