FullCharge Bookkeeper

Job Description Job Description Overview: Duryea & Edwards CPAs LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records for our clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and experience with QuickBooks and other cloud-based accounting software. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update financial records for multiple clients. Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts. Post journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance. Assist with payroll processing and sales tax filings. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Work closely with CPAs and other staff on client bookkeeping tasks. Assist with preparation for tax filings and audits. Respond to client inquiries and provide bookkeeping support as needed. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 4+ years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a public accounting setting. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop; experience with other platforms is a plus. Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management. Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Traits: Experience working with small business clients across multiple industries. Knowledge of Florida payroll tax and sales tax requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with CPA firm workflows and client service protocols.
