Skilled Laborer

We are now accepting resume/applications for Skilled Laborers for the Thibodaux, LA and surrounding areas. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following: Scope of Work: Cut tubing and pipe with saw Assist in areas as needed Duration of Job: Temp to Hire Based on Job Performance Position Requirements : MUST HAVE VALID LICENSE Technical school education is a plus, but high school diploma or GED is required. Must be able to pass physical Must be able to pass drug screen Must be able to pass background check Required Skills: Ability to use electric & hand tools efficiently Carpentry skills a plus, but not necessary Punctuality Strong oral & written communication skills Ability to work effectively with others Proven ability to solve problems creatively Excellent organizational skills, abilityto multi-task Duties/Responsibilities : Transport merchandise between receiving stations, warehouse and production areas. Lift and carry merchandises/material as needed. Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify any damages. Load and unload merchandise to and from trailers. Record the material amount or count received and circulated. Maintain industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working condition. Drive industrial vehicles to transfer materials. Operate manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely. Mange house keeping activities when requested. Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized. Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed. Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner. Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards. Practicesafety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs Must have good endurance Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks. Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock Documents Required: Driver's License/Identification Social Security Card/Birth Certificate Must have reliable transportation Pay: Based on Experience Weekly Pay Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday Schedule: 10-12 Hour Days (with weather permitting) Monday - Friday Weekends (as needed) Tasks beyond those listed above will be asked of you, so a positive, can-do attitude is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
