Experienced Concrete Form Carpenters NeededWe are currently taking applications for an EXPERIENCED Concrete Form Carpenters for the Thibodaux, LA and surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:Job Scope: Provide support at the early stages of a construction project to frame houses, build scaffolding, and make concrete forms.Duration of Job: Temp to Hire Based on Job PerformancePosition Requirements: MUST HAVE VALID LICENSEHigh school diploma or GED equivalent is required.Must be able to pass physicalMust be able to pass drug screenMust be able to pass background checkRequired skills: Should have basic math skills to take accurate measurement of materials needed to construct a formAbility to interpret/read blueprints & drawingsMust have organizational skillsMust be detail-orientedDuties/Responsibilities: Responsible for the installation of structures and fixtures, including windows and moldingCreate a program/schedule for the use of materials and associated equipment for carpentry workProvide support to concrete foreman with project layout and elevation shootingTake the measurement and cut materials to build forms for pouring concreteManage housekeeping activities when requested. Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.Assist in waste disposal and recycling activitiesCleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards. Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environmentMeet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standardsReport safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediatelyPhysical requirements: Responsible for operating electrical, air-powered, and regular hand tools during projectsSpread, rake, and finish concreteShould be able to lift up to 50-100 pounds without assistanceWill be required to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and crawl to perform taskAbility to work in varying hot and cold environments Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditionsAbility to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gasesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditionsThe employee is occasionally exposed to loud noise, fumes, and/or airborne particles and risk of electrical shockDocuments Required: Driver's License/IdentificationSocial Security Card/Birth CertificateMUST be able to provide personal PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, gloves, & safety glasses)MUST have reliable transportationPay: Starting Pay: Depends on ExperienceWeekly PayPay Schedule: Monday - SundaySchedule: Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed) 8 - 12 Hour Days (With Weather Permitting)Tasks beyond those listed above will be asked of you, so a positive, can-do attitude is required.
