Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Experience: • 12 months of experience worked in the last 12 months. • High School completion required. Requirements: • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. • No previous experience allowed for Staff at Facility: CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Health Trust Program - Christus Health. • No previous experience allowed for Part-Time at Facility: CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Health Trust Program - Christus Health. Additional Details: Preferred Skills/Experience: - 2 or more years of experience preferred. - Ability to proficiently scrub 3 specialty areas, including but not limited to transplants, open heart, urology, neurology, titanium rib, and robotics, is highly preferred. Required Credentials: - Completion of a Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required. - High School Diploma or equivalent is required Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained. Unit Details: - Assists with pre-operative and intra-operative patient care in the OR. - Prepares patient skin for surgery, transports patients to and from the operating room suite, and positions patients according to the type of surgery. - Prepares the operating room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the case type. - Establishes and maintains the sterile field, passes instruments and sutures to the physician, and identifies and cares for biological specimens. - Uses and updates physician preference cards when pulling cases and setting up the OR.
