About the Position

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current license in the State Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CRT; RRT-ACCS preferred Must-Have: Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills Ability to be flexible and adaptable Description: Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physicians' orders. Determines effectiveness of therapy. Provides ventilator support during cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Maintains life support equipment in intensive care units and other designated areas. Performs duties in a manner consistent with mission, values, and service standards. Possesses the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plans of care. Executes clinical interventions and procedures as needed for patient care. Prior experience in a critical care setting is preferred. Prior experience in adult emergency care is preferred. Must have current licensure and be registered as a therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT). ACCS certification is preferred.
