Data Engineer - Data and Automation (Oracle, SQL, ETL, Linux, Informatica)

As a Data Engineer within PNC's Enterprise Data Consumption organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh-PA or Strongsville-OH.

Responsibilities include:
a. Support and enhance the Commercial Risk Warehouse (CRW), a centralized data warehouse supporting risk management, analytics, reporting, and modeling across Commercial Banking.
b. Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain Oracle SQL, Informatica ETL processes, and data integration workflows supporting business-critical applications.
c. Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, resolve data quality issues, and support application stability and reliability.
d. Collaborate with business partners, data consumers, architects, and support teams to deliver enhancements and modernization initiatives.
e. Participate in platform modernization efforts, including automation, AI-assisted development, and future distributed data technologies.

Candidates with:
• Strong Oracle SQL development and data analysis skills.
• Informatica PowerCenter (or comparable enterprise ETL platform) experience.
• Experience supporting data warehouse, ETL, or data integration applications.
• Production support and troubleshooting experience.
• Linux/Unix experience.
• Data lineage, impact analysis, and root-cause analysis experience.
• Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and testing.

Job Description

• Develops, supports and implements data services for multiple applications to meet business objectives and user requirements. Uses technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
• Works closely with users, developers, operations and business partners to define data service requirements and the data preparation process development.
• Designs and builds data service infrastructure on multiple data platforms, according to key business processes and the overall workflow.
• Develops and implements data solutions for multiple applications to ensure its scalability, availability and maintainability.
• Implements data migration and transformation activities/processes to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $86,250.00 – $172,500.00Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
