• Shift Schedule: Variable shifts (6a-4p, 8a-6p, 12p-10p, 3p-1a, 9p-6a)
• Hours/Week: Approx. 40+ hours/week; 10 hours per shift; overtime applicable at 12 hours/day
• Employment Type: Locum/Contract
• Required Licenses/Certifications: Active WA license, DEA, ABEM certification only
• Experience: Previous ER/urgent care experience preferred

Pay & Benefits

What You'll Do

• Provide inpatient emergency medicine coverage in a community ER with 22 beds and ~30,000 annual patient visits
• Conduct initial patient assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning
• Manage patients with trauma, stroke, and other critical conditions in a Level 3 trauma setting
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care
• Document all patient encounters efficiently using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with tele-stroke services and 24/7 cardiac cath lab for emergency interventions
• Provide coverage per scheduled shifts, ensuring rapid response to emergencies

What You Need

• Required:
  • Active medical license in Washington State
  • DEA license
  • Board certified (ABEM only)
  • 11-15 inpatient shifts per month availability
  • Compliance with file and credentialing requirements (no red flags)
• Preferred:
  • Prior ER experience in community hospital setting
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Excellent communication skills
