Accountant / Bookkeeper

Our client, is a high-end diamond jewelry company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to join their team in New York. The ideal candidate is highly organized with exceptional communication skills, able to collaborate daily with other team members and owners. Responsibilities: Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate records of income and expenses Reconcile bank and credit card statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies Process & record AP and AR transactions, including follow-ups on outstanding invoices Generate financial reports such as income statements and balance sheets Ensure compliance with accounting principles and assist with financial audits as needed Process payroll accurately and on time, including calculating payroll taxes and deductions Organize and maintain financial records with proper documentation and filing Make daily collection calls to customers to ensure timely payments Qualifications: 3 years of relevant experience experience as a bookkeeper or accountant Must have experience working in a fine jewelry company Prior experience with a CPA firm or family-owned office, preferred Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented and able to work in fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Fourth Floor
