Role Description The System Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Minneapolis, MN, responsible for maintaining and optimizing Harland’s IT infrastructure. This role includes administering servers, workstations, and core applications; managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings; and overseeing system backups and disaster recovery procedures. The System Administrator will monitor system performance, apply patches and updates, and ensure high availability and reliability of network and systems. Daily responsibilities also include troubleshooting technical issues, responding to service requests, and providing hands-on technical support to team members across departments. The role collaborates with IT leadership and vendors to implement improvements, enhance cybersecurity, and support ongoing technology projects aligned with business needs. Qualifications Strong System Administration skills, including managing operating systems, servers, and enterprise applications. Experience with Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose, resolve, and document hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Knowledge of Network Administration, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and basic routing concepts. Broad Information Technology background, with familiarity in IT best practices, security principles, and backup/recovery strategies. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, or equivalent) are beneficial. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
