Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, documenting pertinent medical histories, and performing specific physical assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and patient needs, ensuring collaborative goal-setting with patients and their families.
• Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques and modalities, staying current with evolving healthcare standards and practices.
• Monitor and document patients' progress accurately, adjusting care plans in response to any changes in their conditions as needed.
• Engage in interdisciplinary consultations to enhance patient outcomes and provide comprehensive care.
• Ensure the timely completion of documentation, including focused evaluations, daily encounter notes, and discharge plans.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development initiatives, serving as a mentor to students and developing future practitioners.
• Contribute to departmental objectives by participating in community outreach programs and marketing activities, aiming to raise awareness and promote our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily serve patients recovering from surgical procedures, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the chance to work with a diverse demographic, including children, adults, and the elderly, tailoring treatment plans to meet their unique rehabilitation needs. Your role will be pivotal in not only facilitating physical recovery but also providing emotional support throughout the rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• While no prior work experience is necessary, a background in orthopedic rehabilitation or related clinical settings is advantageous.
• Demonstrable experience in patient education, family involvement in care, and community outreach is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
