Compensation $25–$36/hour based on experience, skills assessment, and technician leveling Additional compensation available for Veterinary Technician Specialists (VTS) Overnight Shift Differential: +$5/hour (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) Schedule Three 12‑hour shifts per week Option One: Day shift, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM Option Two: Overnight shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM Rotating weekends required Full‑Time Benefits Professional Development & Certification Support CE Allowance + Access to VetBloom for RACE‑approved courses RECOVER Training 16‑Week VTNE Study Group Program + One‑time VTNE Reimbursement License application/renewal reimbursement for CVTs VTS financial support and onsite mentorship Partnership with veterinary technology programs, including scholarship opportunities Vacation = 3 weeks per year, increases with tenure at Ethos Sick Time = 1 week per year Holiday pay = DOUBLE TIME Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Short‑ and Long‑Term Disability + Life Insurance 401(k) with discretionary match Additional Perks Uniform Allowance Employee Pet Discount Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality nursing care to hospitalized and critical care patients across ICU, Emergency, and Specialty services Monitor patient vitals, treatments, and overall condition, reporting changes promptly to attending clinicians Assist with advanced diagnostics, sample collection, medication administration, and dosage calculations Support care for postoperative surgical patients, internal medicine cases, oncology patients, urgent care cases, and specialty referrals Triage critical patients and assist with stabilization and ongoing monitoring Provide compassionate client communication, including patient updates, education, and discharge instructions Collaborate closely with Emergency clinicians, specialists, and fellow technicians to deliver exceptional patient care Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to efficient daily hospital workflow Qualifications 3+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred; ICU, Emergency, or Critical Care experience strongly preferred CVT, RVT, or LVT preferred Strong technical nursing skills with confidence managing hospitalized and critical patients Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced emergency and specialty environment Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members Positive, collaborative attitude with a commitment to patient care and hospital culture Desire to continue learning, growing clinical skills, and contributing to a supportive team environment Fluent English speaking and reading skills required Did you know?
