Registered Nurse (RN) - Hematology Oncology

Nurse Oncology

Schedule

10-hour shifts, 4 days a week. Shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with no set days off, no weekends, and no major holidays.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 40 Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Bio/Chemo certification (preferred: Certification in Oncology Nursing)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hematology/oncology/infusion, including triage and phlebotomy
• Experience with IV and Port placement
• Experience with administration of Chemotherapy Agents
• Basic computer proficiency to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information
• Effective interpersonal skills for communication with healthcare team members, patients, and families
• Organizational skills and the ability to delegate patient care activities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills appropriate to the patient populations served

Responsibilities

• Triage calls and nurse navigation
• Patient care and injections
• Prescription refills
• Assistance in a multi-disciplinary clinic setting
