Village Square Portola Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you’ll help create a welcoming and supportive experience for both pets and their families. You’ll coordinate the daily flow of appointments, answer a multi-line phone system with professionalism, and ensure financial transactions are handled accurately. With each interaction, you’ll provide clear information about our services and help guide clients with empathy and care.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position with 8 hour shifts scheduled Monday through Friday with no weekends!

• Compensation: $24-26 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• Prior experience in a veterinary practice
• Ability to triage client calls by assessing urgency and directing appropriately
• Strong knowledge of common veterinary terms and procedures, including vaccine schedules and preventatives
• Ability to act as a liaison between the medical team and clients, ensuring clear, accurate, and empathetic communication
