Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting students in their communication and language development across a range of grade levels (K-12). This contract opportunity extends through June 2027 and is ideal for passionate Speech Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) or exceptional Clinical Fellows (CFY) with a temporary license, eager to make a meaningful difference within vibrant Michigan communities.
What You Bring:
- Active MI SLP licensure; CFY candidates must hold a current temporary license
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with official university transcripts available for submission
- Experience or strong interest in working with diverse urban student populations
- Confidence in providing assessment and evidence-based therapy in school settings
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to support individualized learning goals
- Strong communication skills—bilingual abilities are a plus!
- Self-driven work ethic suited to onsite roles; hybrid options for highly qualified VOCO candidates
What You'll Do:
- Provide speech and language assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring for K-12 students
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in coordination with educators, families, and support staff
- Utilize appropriate resources and interventions to address the needs of urban children and their families
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school and state requirements
- Engage in school-wide initiatives and professional development activities
