Location: Fairfax, VA (Available to come into Fairfax for occasional meetings.)

Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented Reporting Analyst with strong expertise in T-SQL and SQL Server to support data reporting, analysis, and data standardization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with large datasets, developing complex SQL queries, and creating meaningful reports to support business operations. Experience within the healthcare domain, particularly claims and eligibility data, is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with T-SQL (required).
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proven ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and reporting solutions.
• Work extensively with SQL Server to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Analyze data quality, metadata, and data standardization requirements to improve reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Create, maintain, and enhance operational and management reports.
• Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for reporting issues.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
• Support data governance and standardization initiatives across reporting platforms.
• Document reporting processes, data definitions, and business rules.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data standardization, data quality management, and metadata analysis.
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Familiarity with healthcare claims and eligibility data.
• Experience supporting reporting and analytics functions within healthcare organizations.
