About the Role Our client is seeking a motivated and organized Procurement Officer to join their team, supporting operations in the Welkom region with a flexible, remote work arrangement. Key Responsibilities Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders in a timely manner. Source quotations from approved suppliers and evaluate bids based on price, quality, and delivery terms. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and databases. Liaise with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of procurement reports and analyze spending data.Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures. Requirements Previous experience in a procurement or purchasing role is highly desirable. Familiarity with procurement processes, terminology, and best practices. Strong organizational and time management skills, essential for remote work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with purchasing software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective supplier and internal communication. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
