About the Role Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join their established operations in Welkom. This role is integral to maintaining the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the company's supply chain, managing the acquisition of essential goods and services. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing a variety of items, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered on time. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end procurement process for assigned categories, including sourcing, RFQ/RFP, negotiation, and award. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality, ethical, and financial standards. Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost reductions and optimize value. Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities and supplier performance metrics. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide procurement support. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis. Excellent understanding of purchasing principles and supply chain management. Strong organizational and communication abilities.
