Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care

Nursing Assistant

Schedule: 26-week contracts, FT 3x12s, day and/or night shifts scheduled as needed. Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 26 weeks

Requirements:

• BLS certification (through AHA or RQI only) required
• Minimum High School graduate or equivalent education
• Post-secondary education in Health or Human Services
• 1-2 years of customer service or health-related experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform patient care activities and related non-professional services to enhance patient comfort and dignity.
• Conduct vital signs and assist with activities of daily living as outlined in the plan of care.
• Ensure nutritional needs are met as per the plan of care, including meal delivery and assistance with feeding.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety, including turning and positioning patients and answering call lights promptly.
• Identify changes in patient physical and emotional status and report promptly to the nursing staff.
• Participate in shift change communication to ensure continuity of care.

Compliance / Notes:

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is anticipated.
