About the Role:

A growing architecture, planning, and interior design firm is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to join its Columbus, Ohio team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed architect with strong healthcare project management experience who enjoys leading complex projects, building client relationships, and mentoring project teams.

The successful candidate will oversee projects from planning and design through completion while managing schedules, budgets, staffing, client relationships, contracts, and project quality. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to business development and support the continued growth of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage healthcare projects from project initiation through completion.
• Establish project schedules, conduct kickoff meetings, and monitor project milestones.
• Manage project budgets, staffing plans, workloads, profitability, and overall performance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, government agencies, and internal project teams.
• Ensure project teams maintain design intent, quality standards, and client requirements.
• Review project documents for quality, coordination, compliance, and accuracy.
• Develop and validate project scope, fees, budgets, and services during marketing and contract development.
• Manage owner and consultant contracts and participate in fee negotiations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks throughout all phases of delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and support proposals, qualifications, interviews, and presentations.
• Prepare RFP responses and negotiate contracts and fees with clients and consultants.
• Develop a network of clients and industry partners.
• Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and industry-focused content.
• Mentor and support project management team members.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic and business development initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture required.
• Master's degree in Architecture preferred.
• 5 10 years of project management experience in healthcare projects.
• Experience managing healthcare projects ranging from approximately $5 million to $50 million.
• Registered Architect license required.
• Strong understanding of the complete project delivery process.
• Ability to lead design and project teams through all project stages.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and PSMJ Project Management preferred.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
• Experience participating in client interviews and presentations.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with Unanet or similar project reporting and resource planning tools preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, including occasional overnight travel.
