Obstetrics Hospitalist

We are seeking a Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to join a dynamic team as an Obstetrics Hospitalist. This opportunity allows for the provision of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. The role involves providing expert inpatient obstetrical care in a busy hospital environment with a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The physician will care for approximately thirteen to fourteen patients daily in inpatient, outpatient, rounds, and clinic settings. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC for patient documentation and care management. The schedule consists of five to six twenty-four-hour shifts per month, each shift running from seven in the morning to seven the following morning. Weekend shifts are required and follow the same twenty-four-hour schedule as weekdays. There are no on-call responsibilities associated with this position. On average, there are four to five deliveries per 24-hour period, with the majority being vaginal deliveries and 25% being C-sections. Fellowship completion is not required. Candidates must hold the appropriate state medical license or have an active application in progress for licensure prior to starting the position. Candidates with a history of malpractice or licensing issues may be considered, but such cases will be reviewed individually with limitations applied. Candidates who wish to commute more than one hour or combine this position with another job will not be accepted. The facility offers a competitive salary package based on experience and training, which will be discussed during the interview. New graduates and those who are truly board eligible but not yet certified will not be considered. Candidates interested in working as independent contractors will also be considered.
