Pre-Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Pre-Litigation Attorney for its Dallas, Texas office. This full-time, on-site role involves managing a personal injury pre-litigation docket, working closely with experienced attorneys and support staff to achieve favorable settlements for clients. Duties Manage a docket of personal injury cases, developing liability, coverage, and damages theories. Evaluate cases to determine progression, rejection, or special handling needs. Collaborate with treatment paralegals and providers to support clients' medical needs. Review and approve demand packages, ensuring comprehensive case presentation. Direct negotiations to maximize recovery and identify cases for litigation. Resolve liens and ensure clean final distributions for clients. Lead and support a team of paralegals and assistants. Advocate for clients, providing clear guidance on treatment and settlement decisions. Engage in professional growth and contribute to case strategy development. Requirements Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. 3-8 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years in personal injury. Experience in evaluating liability, working with medical records, and negotiating claims. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency with legal research databases and case management software. Commitment to advocating for injured clients and maximizing their recoveries. Preferred: Experience with motor vehicle, commercial trucking, or premises liability cases; familiarity with lien resolution; Spanish speaking a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Texas. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively. Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills. Proficiency in legal technology and research tools.
