Desired Qualifications:

• Active GA Special Education (SPED) teaching license appropriate for high school grades
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with students classified as Severe and Profound Intellectual Disabilities
• Ability to meet physical demands associated with assisting students
• Strong communication skills and dedication to collaborative teamwork
• Commitment to following district-mandated onboarding procedures, including fingerprinting

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized instruction tailored to each student’s IEP
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages student growth
• Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and other educators
• Maintain ongoing communication with families and guardians regarding student progress
• Complete regular documentation and reporting as required by the district
• Participate in training and professional development as offered
