Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required within the last 3 years.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Travelers have 2 attempts. Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.

Preferred Credentials: Certified in Med Surg/Tele preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Neuro acute epilepsy monitoring unit caring for epilepsy patients and other neurologic diagnoses including 24-48 Trend EEGs, brain tumors, subdural hematomas, scoliosis surgeries, and TBI. Primarily MedSurg with some telemetry required. Uses BiPAP; RT manages vents. MedSurg/Tele RNs with strong skills will be trained to assess cranial nerves.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling. Weekend requirement: 3 shifts in a 4-week period. Holiday rotation based on unit coverage.

Floating Requirements: First to float to MS/Tele; may also float to Westgate or AZ General Laveen Campus.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
