Production Specialist

Production SpecialistThe Production Specialist assists in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of campus venues. This position also helps facilitate the audio, video, lighting, and stage management needs of campus and community clients. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, operating audio, video, and lighting equipment; creatively implementing production technology across venues; managing venue logistics and equipment inventory; and overseeing rehearsals and performances.Job DutiesLeads production team during the preparation and execution of events.Executing production plans to ensure successful and high-quality events.Act as the primary supervisor for designated events.Reports on the condition and operational status of production equipment.Ensure consistency and operational readiness of performance venue.Consistently follows safety standards to ensure proper equipment use and maintain a safe environment.Will work a maximum of 27.5 hours per week.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of three years' experience in stage management or technical theatre.Ability to execute plans efficiently and independently overcome challenges.Ability to lead others with a steadfast and even temperament.Flexible schedule (days/nights, late hours, weekends, and holidays).Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.BenefitsCertain limited benefits are available for part time employees including the ability to participate in Samford's 403(b) plan with your own earnings (employer contributions are not available for this classification); free tickets to certain performances and/or sports events; bookstore discount and more.
