As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 06:00 AM - 12:00 PM Wed 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a public transportation location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel. Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate professionally with transit staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed. Minimum Requirements: Have at least one year of security-related experience. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
