HR Compliance Specialist

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an HR Compliance Specialist at our Headquarters Service Center in Warren, OH.

The responsibilities for this position include:

• Conduct pre-employment compliance audits to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
• Apply working knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards to daily HR operations
• Process pre-employment clearances, including background checks and required screenings
• Communicate screening results to appropriate internal partners in a timely and confidential manner
• Maintain and update employee personnel files in accordance with compliance requirements
• Collaborate on HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and ensure compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (3+ years in HR preferred)
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and human resource information systems (HRIS)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
