Firearms Assembler

This position is responsible for assembling firearms with limited supervision. Work with small and large parts and hand tools for assembly. Perform related work in assessing quality standards and ensuring the product meets exacting specifications and standards. Position qualifications/requirements include at least 1 year of experience working with hand and power tools, comfort around firearms, ability to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds, and working in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery exposure to noise and chemicals.

Preferred skills include strong attention to detail and ability to stand for up to 10 hours a day.

Core duties include preparing work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials; positioning parts and subassemblies by using work instructions; assembling components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies; verifying specifications by measuring completed components; resolving assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources; maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Hours include 1st shift position Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Friday- overtime as needed.

Special requirements include candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
