Emergency Medicine Physician

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to work locum shifts in Seattle, WA. This position starts ASAP upon credentialing and offers ongoing coverage through 2027 with a competitive market rate.

Availability Requirements:

• November 21-23, 2026 (11a-8p)
• November 25, 2026 (6p-3a)
• December 5, 2026 (3p-11p)
• December 22-26, 2026 (various day, evening, and overnight shifts)
• January 9-31, 2027 (multiple shifts available)
• February 6-28, 2027 (multiple shifts available)
• March 5-30, 2027 (multiple shifts available)
• Physicians must be willing to work a mix of days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

The Emergency Medicine role:

• Hospital Emergency Department coverage
• Ongoing locums assignment through 2027
• Approximately 15 shifts per month; full-time availability preferred
• No call required
• Patient volume of approximately 8-14 patients and 8-14 admissions per day
• Predominantly medical cases with low trauma volume and medium-to-high acuity
• Responsibilities include patient evaluation and treatment, admissions, disposition planning, care coordination, handoffs, and quality improvement initiatives
• EMR: Epic

Requirements for the Emergency Medicine role :

• Active Washington medical license required (IMLC not accepted)
• ABEM/AOBEM Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Emergency Medicine residency required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA
• Clean malpractice history and background required
• No prior license actions
• Must be willing to cover days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Family Medicine boarded physicians will not be considered
