Aircraft Mechanic II

The Aircraft Mechanic II maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and components of moderate difficulty.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a US citizen with a valid driver's license.
• Must have a Top Secret clearance.
• Must have a valid passport.
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience on P-8 aircraft series.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant license or military equivalent programs referred.
• Ability to define and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
• Services and repairs essential components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical units.
• Applies deep technical knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems to isolate equipment malfunctions.
• Restores equipment to required operational or airworthy conditions by applying advanced technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

The working conditions will mostly be in a high-noise environment.

Physical Requirements

This position must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as well as have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Physical requirements of the position may also include, but are not limited to, bending, twisting, and lifting.
