Human Resources Specialist

Emery Reddy, PC is a fast-growing litigation firm distinguished by its advocacy on behalf of workers and plaintiffs in employment law and related civil litigation. We are seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support the firm's growing workforce across Washington and California. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, leave management, compliance tracking, personnel records, and day-to-day HR operations. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers while ensuring the firm maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding. Administer benefits enrollment, changes, and employee support. Coordinate FMLA, PFML, ADA accommodations, and other leave requests. Maintain personnel files and HR records. Track compliance requirements, trainings, and employment documentation. Assist with recruiting, interview scheduling, and background checks. Respond to employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and time off. Support HR projects and process improvements. Qualifications: Required: 3+ years of Human Resources experience. Experience administering employee benefits and leave programs. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office. Preferred: Experience supporting multi-state employers. Knowledge of Washington and California employment laws. SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
