A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team. This organization has built a strong reputation delivering HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal, controls, and design-build mechanical solutions across healthcare, higher education, industrial, commercial, and institutional markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator, preconstruction professional, or project executive looking to play a larger role in project strategy, client relationships, and long-term departmental leadership.

What You Will Do

Lead the estimating and preconstruction process for commercial and industrial mechanical projects

Develop complete estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal, controls, and related mechanical systems

Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, and project risks

Prepare conceptual budgets, hard bids, negotiated proposals, and design-build estimates

Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing

Collaborate with operations, project management, BIM, and executive leadership teams to develop winning project strategies

Identify value engineering opportunities while protecting project profitability

Mentor junior estimators and support the continued growth of the estimating department

What We Are Looking For

10+ years of mechanical construction estimating experience preferred

Strong commercial and/or industrial HVAC, piping, and plumbing experience

Ability to build complete estimates and proposals, not simply perform takeoffs

Experience with conceptual estimating, budgeting, negotiated work, and design-build projects

Strong understanding of labor productivity, equipment pricing, material costs, and subcontractor management

Previous experience as a Senior Estimator, Chief Estimator, Estimating Manager, Preconstruction Manager, Project Executive, or Senior Project Manager with estimating responsibilities

Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience will also be considered
