Director of Finance

Financial Management DirectorDirects and controls financial management and Agency's budget, overseeing all budgeting and regulatory and financial reporting activities. Designs and develops budgetary principles and guidelines to optimize the budget and leads the work of the finance department.Position Responsibilities:Designs effective budget models for departments within the AgencyDirect accounting operations including billing, accounts receivables/payables, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognitionDirect development of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsForecast future budget needsReview the company's budget for compliance with legal regulations; overseeing and managing audit processesDesign and implement effective budgeting proceduresDirect compliance with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsReview contract billing for compliance and accuracyManage, coach, and develop direct reports to ensure goals and objectives are metOther duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to understand and assure compliance with funding source contractsStrong communication and customer service skillsDemonstrate intermediate to advanced technical knowledge of complex formats and formulas, graphics, tables, pivot table computations, formatting and other Word Processing and SpreadsheetsEffectively lead, coach and mentor direct reports to engage, succeed and excel in their tasks and customer service initiativesGather, collate and classify information according to established methodsJob Requirements:Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) requiredFive years supervisory experienceA valid driver's license and current auto insuranceEssential Functions/Physical Demands:Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned.
