Accountant, Expense Control

One of our leading financial services firms is seeking an experience Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance. This position is remote with a few days a month in office. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $70,000 to $80,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Prepare profit and loss (P&L) reports, accounting entries, and reconciliations.
  
  
• Maintain the general ledger.
  
  
• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process.
  
  
• Review, track, and process invoices, travel advances, and expense reimbursement reports.
  
  
• Analyze and reconcile GL accounts.
  
  
• Perform P&L fluctuation analysis for managerial review.
  
  
• Collect and prepare tax forms and handle 1099 processing for vendors.
  
  

Requirements:

• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  
  
• Familiarity with Great Plains software.
  
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with strong Excel skills.
  
  
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects without sacrificing accuracy.
  
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across various departments and levels.
  
  

Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  
• 3+ years of accounting experience with strong general accounting skills.
