AP/Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for managing payments, controlling expenses, and ensuring the efficient financial operations of our club. This is a hybrid position with 3 days in office and 2 day remote. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently handle invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and handle payment inquiries
- Assist in controlling expenses by verifying and reconciling accounts payable
- Prepare documentation for external auditors and contribute to month-end close procedures
- Utilize accounting software such as Oracle BI, NetSuite, and Toast for data entry and reporting
- Collaborate with a team of 4, reporting to the Director of Finance, who in turn reports to the Managing Director
- Experience : At least 1 year in an Accounting or similar role
- Basic Bookkeeping : Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Software Proficiency : Familiarity with MS Excel and prior experience with Oracle Netsuite preferred
- Hospitality Background : Experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is desirable
