The Fabrication Welder will perform skilled welding operations primarily on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials in an on-site fabrication environment. This individual contributor role focuses on fabricating metal components by interpreting blueprints, preparing materials, and ensuring quality and safety standards throughout the welding process.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using various welding techniques
- Prepare materials for welding including cutting and shaping metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints to meet fabrication specifications
- Inspect welded assemblies for quality and compliance
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations during welding processes
- Cut metal components accurately using appropriate tools
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in fabrication welding
- Certification in welding technology or related field
- Welding Certification such as AWS
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of welding safety practices
- Experience using measurement tools
- High attention to detail
