Estimator

Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Construction Estimator to join their team and support a growing pipeline of commercial and educational construction projects. This individual will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates on renovation and new construction projects valued at $2M+ and must be capable of building estimates independently from start to finish. The Estimator will solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids, level proposals, and ensure accurate project costing throughout the preconstruction process. They will also conduct pre-bid walkthroughs and visit project sites to gather information needed for accurate pricing and scope development. The role is primarily office-based and reports daily to the Connecticut office, with flexibility for candidates located near the Portsmouth office. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with project teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout the bidding process. Strong organizational skills and proficiency with estimating and project management software are essential. Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
- Experience estimating commercial and/or educational (K-12) construction projects.
- Proven experience on multimillion-dollar projects, preferably $2M+.
- Proficiency with Procore, Autodesk construction tools, estimating software (e.g., Arbidesta), and Excel.
- Ability to independently develop and manage complete project estimates from bid solicitation through final pricing.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Design-build project experience.
- CAD or design drafting background.
- Connecticut or New Hampshire contractor-related licensing/certifications.
- Experience performing renovation project estimates.
- Ability to work from either the Connecticut or Portsmouth office locations.
