Senior Accountant

DescriptionKforce has a client in Farmington, CT that is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role will help ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support budgeting, forecasting, and audit initiatives.Key Responsibilities:* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports* Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries* Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies* Lead month-end and year-end close processes* Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis* Assist with tax compliance and audit requests* Maintain internal controls and improve accounting processesRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance* 4+ years of accounting experience* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting* Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations* Advanced Excel and ERP system experience* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:* CPA or CPA candidate* Public accounting experience* Budgeting and forecasting experience* Multi-entity accounting experienceKey Skills:* Financial Reporting* General Ledger Accounting* Month-End Close* Account Reconciliations* Journal Entries* Budgeting and Forecasting* GAAP* Audit Support* Microsoft Excel* ERP Systems* Financial AnalysisJob TypeContractCompensation30 - $35
