Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) PRN

Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) PRN Job Type: PRN | Days or Nights Schedule: 12 hour shifts, Days (7a-7p) or Nights (7p-7a). Must be available for a minimum of 4 shifts per month (2 weekend shifts) and for 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year. Our ICU unit is comprised of 16 beds including CVICU, MICU, Surgical, Neuro and Trauma. We need an RN who is proactive, collaborative, and ready to handle critical care situations. Responsibilities Manage the care of ICU level patients, administering all critical‑care medications, caring for ventilators and invasive monitoring devices, performing bedside procedures and rapid response and code team actions, trauma RED response, and all other critical care needs. Work collaboratively with respiratory therapy, cardiac cath lab, operating room, emergency department, PT, OT, ST, and other departments. Evaluate patients’ and families’ learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstance. Advocate for the patient’s physical and emotional well‑being. Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred). Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred. Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and TNCC (within 6 months of hire). Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, CCRN and Handle With Care.
