Job Title

Travel RN – Cardiac Step-Down (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 15-bed Cardiac Step-Down unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3–4:1
• Monitor and manage patients post-EP lab and post-cath lab procedures
• Operate and manage unit equipment including sheaths, telemetry, and continuous drip (gtts) administration
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Float to all Med-Surg and Step-Down units as needed per staffing requirements
• Fulfill weekend shift commitments of 4 shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, IMC, or Step-Down setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, sheath management, and IV drip administration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse experience in a cardiac or step-down environment
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Background in post-procedural cardiac care (EP lab or cath lab recovery)
