Job Summary:
The Omaha, Nebraska, step down unit registered nurse (RN) position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The RN will provide care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cardiac issues, nephrology, strokes, diabetes, and patients requiring continuous EEG monitoring. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of their assignment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with shift hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 AM.
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours.
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, possess a current driver's license, and hold certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Effective communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to problem solve are important attributes for success on this unit.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: This is a first-week onboarding plus 1-2 days of floor orientation. RTO (Religious/Doctors Time Off) requests must be submitted upfront, with no additional requests approved after submission. The facility has a cancellation policy allowing up to four shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment or three shifts for shorter assignments. The charting system used is EPIC.
